We believe it's important to support and listen to other voices in the effort to protect girlhood — to raise happy, healthy girls, and to help them achieve their dreams. We want these voices to be heard and will be featuring them here.
Photo byWe are pleased to introduce Leslie Morgan Steiner. Leslie is the author of Mommy Wars, a book about the motherhood/work balance. Leslie began writing for and about girls at Seventeen magazine in 1987. Her successful publishing experience led Leslie to Washington, D.C., where she writes a daily blog for the Washington Post. Leslie is also a mother of three, and is well equipped with advice and suggestions for parents. She says, "Since working at Seventeen magazine, I have taken an active interest in whether or not there's a 'right way' to raise children, girls in particular. Along the way I have met countless women and men who have offered their stories, thoughts and opinions. I look forward to sharing what I've learned and opening new dialogues with you."
